Meet Our Doctors

Dr. Trevor Wagner
From the time I was an infant, I had suffered from stomach problems. When I was eight years old, I was in the hospital with a bleeding ulcer. Even after the ulcer was healed, I continued to suffer from frequent stomach pains. It wasn't until I was in high school that I was referred to a chiropractor. It didn't take long before I noticed improvement. My pain had almost completely resolved. Nobody could believe that a chiropractor helped my stomach until I explained the mechanism of how the nervous system controls your entire body. (More on this on the website). I decided when I was a junior in high school to become a chiropractor. I graduated from Cleveland Chiropractic College in 1995. I always had an appreciation for science and nature, but it wasn't until I was a student at Cleveland that I began to discover the importance of fitness, nutrition, and true wellness. It was during my years there that I finally gave up smoking and began working out regularly and eating for health. Our practice centers around the fact that optimum function leads to long-term improvement not only in how a person feels but also in how healthy they will be. Pain and other symptoms are your body's way of letting you know that something is not working right. When a patient comes to our office, we evaluate their function and focus on ways to improve it. This method allows short-term and long-term improvement. My wife, Dr. Julie Owen-Wagner, and I met at Chiropractic College and have been married for 27 years. We have 3 children, Meredith, Nate, and Olivia. Because of my wellness-based philosophy, when I'm not at the office, I am spending time 'practicing what I preach'. I exercise regularly and eat a diet based on the sound principles that we teach at our office. I also enjoy spending time with my wife and children. Enough about me! How can we help you with today's safe and natural chiropractic care? Give us a call so we can help you take your first step towards better health.

I was born in lovely Little Rock, Arkansas yet grew up in Bonner Springs, Kansas. It is a small town near Kansas City. When I was a junior in high school I started asking myself the question 'What do I want to do with my life?'. I knew I wanted to help people and fortunately my family gave me the confidence that I could do anything I chose. Because chiropractic had helped my stepmother so much, she suggested I consider the field. It was then that I felt compelled to follow her advice. Little did I know at the time that it would be the most important decision of my life. Chiropractic has led me to my husband (Dr. Trevor Wagner), given me the knowledge to change patients' lives, improved my own health, and allowed me to enjoy a fulfilling life. After graduating from Bonner Springs High school in 1989, I received an academic scholarship to Kansas City Kansas Community College. My undergraduate studies were there, Park College, and Donnelly College. I then attended Cleveland Chiropractic College of Kansas City, where I met my husband. We both graduated with honors in 1995. Dr. Trevor and I opened West Omaha Chiropractic & Sports Injury Clinic in November 1996 and got married in January 1997. I received my Fellowship credentials from the International Academy of Medical Acupuncture in 1998 and still provide acupuncture services today. Dr. Trevor and I attended a Wellness program series in 2006 which helped change our entire perspective on a healthy lifestyle. We have since tried to implement eating well, moving well, and thinking well into our lives. Not only do we want to be a good example for our patients but we also want to enjoy a longer better quality of life. We enjoy friends and family time, being active, and telling others about the benefits of chiropractic care.

After experiencing debilitating headaches, and neck and shoulder pain, I was referred to a chiropractor while earning my undergraduate degree. My first visit helped me realize not only that I did not have to live with pain every day but that my body was capable of achieving an amazing level of true wellness. For me, the effects of chiropractic care brought healing beyond the headaches, and neck and back pain. It has truly been transformative to my health! However, my decision to pursue chiropractic as a career was not just about finding my own healing. As a chiropractor, my mission is to help others experience the same type of healing and an overall better quality of life. I knew this was the path I must take to help change lives and educate others about the amazing benefits of this drug-free, natural healthcare method. I earned my Bachelor of Arts degree in Biology at Benedictine College, Atchison, Kansas, and then went on to graduate with my Doctor of Chiropractic degree from Palmer College, Davenport, Iowa, in 2018. I am a Nebraska native. I love pursuing a healthy lifestyle and helping others truly feel well and be well. I enjoy learning and I am excited to continue pursuing knowledge in chiropractic and healthy living. I have a particular interest in nutritional health and supplementation. Outside of work, I like staying active, being an active member of my church parish, and spending time with family and friends. I also love being outdoors, music, movies, and yoga. I am passionate about educating patients regarding the benefits of chiropractic care and helping them live and achieve their greatest potential of health and wellness. I am very excited to serve Omaha and the surrounding areas.
