West Omaha Chiropractic & Sports Injury: Chiropractic Adjustments
At West Omaha Chiropractic, we provide full chiropractic services. Our specialty is treating sports injuries via chiropractic care. Additionally, we supplement chiropractic adjustments with massage and acupuncture.
Our treatment process involves:
- Determining the root cause of your pain
- Creating a custom treatment plan
- Monitoring your recovery and providing further adjustments as needed
Wellness Through Adjustments
Chiropractors apply a holistic approach to medicine by treating the whole body. A chiropractors' specialty is to reduce pain and increase mobility by diagnosing neuromuscular disorders. Chiropractors treat patients through manual adjustment and manipulation of the spine. They employ therapies such as exercise and ergonomics, which is the study of the efficiency of your musculoskeletal function. A chiropractor's understanding of ergonomics is necessary to relieve the stress and to offer other options to perform tedious work, such as typing while standing.
Beyond Adjustments with the Use of Acupuncture
Acupuncture does not replace chiropractic treatment, but it is useful as a complementary treatment. Acupuncture relieves musculoskeletal pain by placing thin needles into the skin at pressure points. Formal training is needed to perform acupuncture, which is particularly effective in reducing neck pain, headaches, and low back pain.
Meet Our Doctors: Dr. Trevor Wagner, Dr. Julie Owen-Wagner, and Dr. Hope Johnston
The West Omaha Chiropractic & Sports Injury Clinic was opened in November 1996. Dr. Trevor Wagner graduated from Cleveland Chiropractic College in 1995. He suffered from stomach pain when he was an infant, and at the age of eight, he found that chiropractic therapy resolved the pain. His interest in becoming a chiropractor himself started in high school. He stresses the importance of fitness and nutrition and encourages patients to work independently to ensure wellness.
Dr. Julie Owen-Wagner graduated from Cleveland Chiropractic College in 1995. She received a Fellowship from the International Academy of Medical Acupuncture in 1998. In 1978 Dr. Ron Evans graduated from Palmer College of Chiropractic. Specializing in spinal adjustments, Dr. Evans has years of experience treating neck pain, lower back pain, hip pain, and scoliosis.
